8 days from Tangier to the desert

Day 1: Tangier – Rabat – Casablanca – Marrakech

After leaving your accommodation in Tangier. Our journey to Marrakech begins with a stop in Asilah. Where you will have the opportunity to explore the charming medina and admire its whitewashed walls and magnificent murals. Then we will head to Rabat, where you will visit the Hassan Tower. An iconic monument that bears witness to the city’s rich and fascinating history. After this visit, we will go to Casablanca to discover the grandeur of the Hassan II mosque. One of the largest mosques in the world, located by the sea.

After exploring these historical sites, we will continue our journey to Marrakech using the highway. Upon arrival in the Red City. You will be welcomed in a beautiful Riad, where you can relax and enjoy a delicious traditional dinner. This first day will be an enriching immersion in Moroccan culture and history. Setting the stage for the wonders to come in the following days.

Day 2: Marrakech – Ait ben haddou kasbah – Dades Gorges

After leaving your accommodation in Marrakech. We will begin our journey crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains, offering breathtaking panoramic views. Our first stop will be the Kasbah of Telouat, rich in history and architecture. Where you will have the opportunity to discover its fascinating past. Then we will head to the famous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will be amazed by its picturesque streets and imposing adobe towers.

After an invigorating lunch, our journey will continue with a visit to the film studios. Witness Morocco’s thriving film industry. We will also explore the Kasbah of Taourirte, revealing its remarkable architecture and rich historical heritage. Then, we will take the road of a thousand kasbahs to Skoura. Where we will visit the splendid Kasbah of Amridil, an architectural gem nestled in the heart of the valley.

Our day will end with a crossing of the village of Imassine to the Valley of Roses. Where you can discover the delicate products from the famous damascena rose. Finally, we will settle in for the night in a charming local hotel located in the heart of the Dades gorges. Where you can enjoy a delicious dinner and soak up the magical atmosphere of the place.

Day 3: Dedes Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert

After enjoying a delicious breakfast. We will begin our journey towards the majestic dunes of Merzouga. Crossing picturesque Berber villages along the way, witnesses to the rich culture of the region. Our journey will take us to Boumalne and Tinghir. Where you will have the opportunity to admire breathtaking landscapes before continuing our journey towards the impressive Todra gorges.

Once immersed in the natural beauty of the gorges. We will take the picturesque route through Tinjdad and Jorf. Where we will stop at Erfoud to discover the fascinating fossils for which the region is famous. Then our journey will take us to Merzouga. Where you will live an unforgettable experience by spending the night in an authentic Berber camp in the heart of the dunes of Erg Chebbi.

To reach this true desert paradise, you will be transported by camel. Giving you total immersion in the traditional way of life of the region. You will then have the opportunity to relax and soak up the magic of the desert while enjoying a delicious dinner under the stars, before retiring to your Berber tent for a well-deserved night’s rest.

Day 4: Merzouga desert

The day will begin with the enchanting spectacle of sunrise, a breathtaking experience that will leave you with unforgettable memories. After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will begin our camel ride back to the village, where our vehicle will be waiting for us for the next stage of our adventure.

We will continue our journey by visiting the village of Gnaouas, a unique opportunity to discover local culture and traditions. Next, we will explore Sarji Lake, an oasis of tranquility nestled in the heart of the desert, before heading to the Deserted Mines, silent witnesses to the region’s history.

Back in Merzouga, we will resume our camel journey to return to your camp, where you can enjoy another magical moment: the sunset over the dunes, an experience that is both soothing and captivating. You will then have the opportunity to relax and immerse yourself in the captivating atmosphere of the desert while enjoying a lively evening with Berber music at the camp. Finally, you will enjoy a delicious dinner under the stars before retiring to your Berber tent for a peaceful night in the heart of the desert.

Day 5: Merzouga Desert – Rissani – Ziz Valley – Fez

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the camp, you will return to the village on camelback, an experience that will allow you to soak up the majesty of the Merzouga dunes one last time. Once back in the village, we will head to Rissani, an emblematic town known for its large Tafilalt market, where you will have the opportunity to discover the liveliness and authenticity of daily life in Morocco.

We will also take the time to visit the mausoleum of Molay Ali Cherif , a site steeped in history and spirituality. Then, we will continue our journey through the varied landscapes of the Middle Atlas, passing through Erfoud and the town of Errachidia, where you can admire the spectacular panoramas of this mountainous region.

A well-deserved lunch break will be planned in Midelt. A charming town located in the heart of the mountains, before continuing our journey through the cedar forest and the town of Ifrane, nicknamed “Moroccan Switzerland” because of its alpine architecture and cool climate.

Finally, at the end of the day, we will arrive at your accommodation in Fez. Where you can relax and unwind after a day full of discoveries and adventures.

Day 6: Fez

After a restful night in Fez, you will start your day with an exciting guided tour of the medina. Led by an experienced local guide. You will have the opportunity to explore the many historical sites of this fascinating city, including ancient Islamic schools renowned for their magnificent architecture and cultural significance.

Your route will also take you through the Jewish quarter. Where you will discover the history and culture of the Jewish community of Fez. You will also have the opportunity to admire the majestic royal palace gate, a symbol of the city’s glorious history.

During this tour, you will have the opportunity to appreciate a breathtaking panoramic view of the medina, offering a unique perspective on the entire city and its surroundings.

At the end of the day, you will return to your Riad, where you can relax and enjoy a delicious dinner prepared with fresh local ingredients. This immersion in the culture and history of Fez will be an unforgettable experience of your trip to Morocco.

Day 7: Fez – Meknes – Chefchaouen

After a delicious breakfast in your Riad in Fez, you will begin your journey to Chefchaouen, the famous blue city of Morocco. Along the way, you will stop in Meknes, another imperial city, where you will visit the main gate of the medina, testimony to its glorious past under the reign of Moulay Ismaïl. You will also have the opportunity to explore the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismaïl, an iconic historical site.

Your journey will then continue to the UNESCO-listed Roman ruins of Volubilis, where you can admire the impressive remains of the ancient Roman city.

Finally, you will cross the magnificent Rif Mountains to arrive in Chefchaouen, known for its picturesque streets and bright blue buildings. Once there, you will explore the captivating medina of Chefchaouen, with its narrow streets and buildings with bright blue and white facades. You will also have the opportunity to taste tasty local cuisine during dinner in a charming Riad, where you will spend the night, soaking up the unique atmosphere of this magical city.

Day 8: Chefchaouen – Tangier

After enjoying a delicious breakfast in your Riad in Chefchaouen, you will prepare for the return journey to Tangier. Along the way, you’ll make a stop in Tetouan, a fascinating city known for its unique blend of Spanish and Moroccan influences. You will have the opportunity to taste traditional tea while discovering the charm of this picturesque town. We will drop you off at your accommodation in Tangier.
