8 Days from Tangier to the desert. Tour from Tangier in southern Morocco, visit of Marrakech, and the oases of southern Morocco, two nights in Merzouga. Then the trip from Tangier desert will continue to Fez and Chefchaouen, and will end in Tangier.
► 8 Days from Tangier to the desert itinerary:
Day 1: Tangier – Rabat – Casablanca – Marrakech
Departure from your accommodation in Tangier to Marrakech, we stop in Asilah to explore the medina then we continue to Rabat, here we will visit the Hassan tower and we continue towards Casablanca where we will visit the great Hassan II mosque and we continue to Marrakech via Highway. Dinner and overnight in a beautiful Riad with dinner.
Day 2: Marrakech – Ait ben haddou – Dades Gorges
Departure from your accommodation in Marrakech. Cross the High Atlas Mountains, then visit the Kasbah of Telouat, continue to the famous Kasbah of Ait ben haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, after lunch we will visit the film studios and the Kasbah of Taourirte, then we will follow the beautiful road of a thousand kasbahs towards Skoura to visit the kasbah of Amridil, from there we cross the village of Imassine towards the valley of the roses, after the discovery of the products at the base of the damaskina rose, we will follow the beautiful landscapes of the Dades valley to the gorges where we will spend the night in a local hotel with dinner.
Day 3: Dedes Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga
After breakfast we leave for the dunes of Merzouga via the superb Berber villages in the south east of Morocco, we stop at Boumalne and Tinghir before continuing our way to the Todra gorges, After discovering the gorges, we will follow the road which crosses Tinjdad and Jorf, we stop at Erfoud to discover the fossils, from there we continue towards Merzouga, to spend the night at the camp in the dunes (Erg chebbi).
To access Erg chebbi you will be transported by camels. dinner and overnight in Berber tents at the camp.
Day 4: Merzouga
The day will start with the spectacle of the sunrise, then you will have your breakfast, and we will return by camel to the village to meet our vehicle, then we will visit the village of Gnaouas, the lake of Sarji, the deserted Mines, then we will return to Merzouga to come back by camel to your camp, enjoy the sunset in the dunes, and a magnificent evening with Berber music at the camp. Dinner and overnight in Berber tents.
Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Ziz Valley – Fez
After breakfast, you return to the village by camel and we go to Rissani, here we will visit the big market of Tafilalt and the mausoleum of Molay Ali Cherif. Then we cross Erfoud and the town of Errachidia. You admire the magnificent landscapes of the Middle Atlas, stop in Midelt for lunch, and we then cross the cedar forest and the city of Ifrane to arrive at your accommodation in Fez at the end of the day.
Day 6: Fes
Guided tour of the medina with a local guide who will show you the historical sites of Fez, the old Islamic schools, the Jewish quarter, the gate of the royal palace. Panoramic view of the medina. Dinner and night in your Riad.
Day 7: Fez – Meknes – Chefchaouen
After breakfast we will leave the city of Fez towards Chefchaouen, via Meknes where we will visit the main gate of the medina and the mausoleum of Molay Ismail and we continue to the Roman ruins at volubilis, then we cross the Rif mountains to arrive in Chefchaouen visit the medina with its beautiful streets, dinner and overnight in a Riad.
Day 8: Chefchaouen – Tangier
We leave for Tangier after your breakfast, on the way we stop in Tetouan for a tea, then we continue to the pearl of our Moroccan Tangier, We will explore the medina, dinner and night in a beautiful hotel.
